Lynchburg
New London Dragstrip
Located just south of Lynchburg, VA, New London Dragstrip was originally built as an NHRA sanctioned, 1/4 mile racing facility in 1958. Since then, as the cars have gotten faster, New London Dragstrip was shortened to an 1/8th mile IHRA track. New London has a 40 foot wide asphalt track with a concrete launching pad stretching past the 60 foot mark. With a total track length of 3200 feet, there is plenty of shutdown area for even the fastest cars. The track's elevation is 849' MSL. Track features two sets of win lights for each lane - one set is just off the track surface beyond the finish line to be easily viewed by drivers and one set is on the guard rail for spectators.

Old Dominion Speedway Dragstrip
Almost every Friday night (March through October), Old Dominion’s 1/8 mile Drag Strip is in full swing. Featuring Top Sportsman, Rails, Motorcycles, 6.0 Street Stock and Foot Brake Classes. It’s thrilling racing action sanctioned by The Southern Bracket Racing Association (SBRA). Old Dominion Speedway’s Drag Strip is the oldest on the east coast.

Richmond Dragway is a 1/4 mile International Hot Rod Association sanctioned dragracing facility in Sandston, VA. The site features 130 acres with a full service concession stand, Sunoco Fuel Station, and a 3 story Timing and Scoring tower. Richmond Dragway utilizes a state of the art Accutime Timing System along with 48″ Scoreboards and LED Dial In Boards for the drivers to verify their dial ins. Courtesy of Computer World, Richmond Dragway offers I-Card programing with live timing feeds to users.
